A parade to honour Corby soldier Lance Corporal James Ashworth who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross will now be held on Saturday, April 6.
Heavy snow meant a tribute planned for Saturday (March 23) had to be called off at the last minute.
L/Cpl Ashworth was killed on June 13 last year when his reconnaissance platoon became involved in a battle with the Taliban inside enemy-held compounds in Helmand, Afghanistan.
His Victoria Cross citation said: “He is understood to have fought against huge odds, deliberately exposing himself to enemy fire, and died from a grenade blast as he tried to protect his men.”
Corby councillor Rob McKellar has organised the parade from George Street to The Cube, in Corby town centre, starting at 12.30pm.
