Growing Corby, the programme aimed at creating jobs and helping businesses expand, is to hold its first Business Services Showcase.

The free event is on Thursday, July 10, from 9am until 2pm, at the Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel when 20 business support organisations will showcase the services they offer to companies.

Nick Bolton, founder of Electric Corby, the organisation managing the Growing Corby programme, said: “Following our launch back in April we recognised very quickly that there is a lot of support out there for businesses in Corby which can make it difficult for them to identify what is going to impact their company the most.

“The idea behind the showcase is to gather together in one place all of the business support programmes available in Corby and beyond, so that businesses can meet and talk to them all and work out what they need to grow their business.”

Business support programmes exist to boost the local economy, by helping companies grow and create and protect jobs.

They provide support from offering grants and business advisers to funding internships and business coaching.

Taking part in the Business Services Showcase are some of the region’s most successful support initiatives including The Prince’s Trust, Manufacturing Advisory Service, Enterprise4Corby, UK Trade & Investment, Velocity Business Support and Growing Corby.

There will also be workshop sessions on public support and access to finance.
