Asda has just released more details of the new superstore, which is set to open to customers in late April and will create 50 new jobs for the area.

They have said fresh food will be a major part of the new store, with a wide selection of fish, meat, baked products and fruit and vegetables on offer.

There will also be a petrol station.

Barry Fowles, store manager at Asda Raunds, said: “I can’t wait to open the doors and welcome shoppers when we launch in just a few weeks’ time.

“This store has been designed so that all of the essentials Raunds shoppers need are easy to find under one roof.

“Asda Raunds is also set to provide local employment opportunities across all of its departments, which is great news for the area.

“What’s even more exciting is the prospect of getting to know our customers once the store is unveiled.”

Asda Raunds will have 83 car parking spaces and will open between 7am and 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

There will also be a click and collect service at the store for shoppers making use of Asda’s online offering.
