Police have made a new appeal for witnesses to an alleged road rage incident during which an 18-year-old man was left with a broken jaw.

As has been reported previously, the incident happened shortly after 8pm on Saturday, May 17, near the McDonald’s restaurant in Northfield Avenue, Kettering.

The victim was a passenger in a red Vauxhall Astra travelling along Northfield Avenue northbound towards Asda.

The driver of a black Renault Clio stopped his car in the road and blocked both lanes.

He then approached the Astra and assaulted the 18-year-old, leaving him with a broken jaw.

Officers would now particularly like to speak to a man in a white car who may have seen the incident and later stopped one of the drivers to speak to him about it.

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
