Home Group has launched a new development of affordable two and three bedroom family homes in Burton Latimer.
The new development, named The Wheatfields, was opened by the Mayor of Burton Latimer, accompanied by local councillors and dignitaries.
The Wheatfields is a selection of two and three bedroom homes, available for sale through shared ownership. This means buyers can purchase a home for as little as £51,000 for a 40 per cent share, based on a full market value of £127,500.
Sophia Arain, Head of Sales and Marketing at Home Group, said: “Burton Latimer is a pleasant small town bordered by the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, and in need of affordable housing for locals. Our development provides quality affordable new homes for first time buyers who are struggling to raise large deposits to get onto the property ladder.”
On opening the show home, the town’s mayor Cllr Roger Knight said: “Burton Latimer is a strong community, and we are looking forward to welcoming newcomers into the town.”
John Conway, head of housing at Kettering Borough Council, praised the development for providing the area with affordable housing. “Kettering Borough Council has consistently managed to deliver new homes with our partners, despite the challenging economic climate,” he said. “We look forward to working with Home Group again in the near future to deliver more affordable housing of a high quality for local people.”
