The Royal Mint has unveiled a new commemorative £5 coin to honour former Northampton Town footballer Walter Tull as part of a First World War series.
Tull, the first black British officer to lead troops into battle, lived in Rushden during his time at Northampton.
He was killed in action in northern France in March 1918.
The Royal Mint said the coin, designed by David Cornell, also shows troops going over the top and features the poppy.
The Tull coin is part of a set of six commemorative issues which will be released later this year.
