Residents of Priors Hall Park development in Corby have formed the area’s first neighbourhood association.
A public meeting was held on Saturday, July 21, at Corby Business Academy, attended by 25 residents and borough councillors Rob McKellar and Stan Heggs.
Funded by Corby Council, the association will allow people in Priors Hall Park to have a say in the provision of amenities and leisure facilities for the area, as well as environmental matters and its future development. Priors Hall has 126 occupied houses and is expected to increase in size to around 5,000 properties in the next five years.
Plans are in the pipeline for a primary school, a combined art gallery and heritage centre, a shopping precinct and play parks.
Councillor for Priors Hall, Rob McKellar, said, “The new neighbourhood association will add to the fabulous community spirit that is already thriving here.”
