Mrs Mensch said: “The Evening Telegraph has stood up for and championed Corby and been a voice for the community. It has given a voice to people’s pride in their hometown, when it has been attacked by the national press. It has played an important role in the reporting of the MPs’ expenses story, the cost of the Cube, at local and general elections and all the major stories of the day which affect the town.
