Tenants will be able to move into two converted bungalows in Corby before Christmas after they were completed late last month.
The Mayor of Corby, Cllr Julie Ridley, cut the ribbon at a special completion ceremony of the two bungalows, at Sykes Court in Corby.
The two new bungalows are the result of a conversion of one bungalow and three garages and the work was carried out by Corby Borough Council’s housing repairs and maintenance team.
Work began in August 2016 and tenants will be able to move in just in time for Christmas.
A council spokesman said: “The existing bungalow and three garages have been converted into two properties designed to be fully accessible for persons with disabilities.
“Four solar panels have also been installed to each roof making the properties energy efficient and affordable for tenants.”
Corby Council’s member for housing, Cllr Bob Eyles, said: “These are two fantastic properties and what’s even better is that the work has been carried out by our fantastic team of workmen here at Corby Borough Council. I am extremely pleased that after just 3 months, the work is almost complete.”
