Motorist is cut from car after crash

A MOTORIST had to be cut out of a car after crashing in to fencing in Corby.

Police were called to the incident at 11.22am at the junction of Burghley Drive and Oakley Road.

A police spokesman said: “One male has received injuries which are not deemed to be serious or life threatening.”

Two fire crews from Corby and Desborough also attend to release the man from the car.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “One male was trapped in a vehicle. We used hydraulic equipment to release him. We were called at 11.40am and he was freed by 11.59am and handed to the care of the ambulance service.”
