Motorist breaks man’s foot before driving off in Corby

Police in Corby are appealing for witnesses after a motorist failed to stop at the scene of a road accident.

The incident took place sometime between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday (September 25) when a 67-year-old man stepped into the road at the junction of Elizabeth Street and Winsor Place.

As he stepped into the road a car drove past and ran over his foot, breaking it.

The driver initially stopped at the scene, looked back at the man and then drove off.

A member of the public helped the man who was taken to Kettering General Hospital for treatment.

The driver was a woman, aged about 40, with blonde hair.
