POLICE stopped 109 vehicles and seized 11 for motoring offences, including driving without insurance.
Trading standards officials also issued 21 notices for offences including carrying red diesel and tyre problems as part of an Operation Guardian high-impact day throughout East Northamptonshire on Thursday, .
Eight people were arrested and seven fixed penalty notices were served.
During the day of action a 19-year-old man from Kettering was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
A 34-year-old man from Kettering was also arrested on suspicion of burglary, as was a 22-year-old man from Northampton, who was later released on bail.
A 14-year-old boy from Northampton was also arrested for suspected robbery.
Other checks saw a 41-year-old man from Corby arrested for failing to appear at court. He was remanded in custody.
A 42-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicle. He was released on bail.
A 16-year-old from Kettering and a 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of lead theft and have been released on bail.
