Power suppliers say electricity has been restored to hundreds of homes in the Kettering area.

Western Power Distribution (WPD) confirmed that 1,368 customers in Kettering, Market Harborough and Great Oxendon were affected by an outage this morning (Tuesday, January 14).

A spokesman for WPD said the outage occurred at about 10.20am, with 845 customers having their power back by 11.10am. WPD said the remainder had theirs restored by 11.45am.

The spokesman added that the power cut had been caused by third party damage to one of their cables.
