More details released about A43 crash near Corby

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed a crash on the A43 near Corby last week which saw a cyclist airlifted to hospital.

The Northants Telegraph reported how the incident on Friday, October 16 shut a stretch of the A43 at Stanion for several hours.

A 32-year-old man was crossing the A43 at the junction of Geddington Road, near the Holiday Inn, when the collision with the white Iveco box van, which was travelling on the A43, took place at about 2.10pm.

He was taken to University Hospital Coventry by air ambulance with what was described as ‘serious injuries’.

Witnesses or anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101 or the drivewatch hotline on 0800 174615.
