An 83-year-old moped rider was airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured in a collision in Nassington Road, Woodnewton.

The collision happened at about 2.20pm on Friday (July 31), near to the junction with Orchard Lane, when the rider of a grey Honda Forza, for reasons yet unknown, came off his bike.

The moped rider, an 83-year-old man from Stanford, suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry.
