Almost £7,500 has been donated to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance service.

Motorcyclist Lee Anderson, whose life was saved after he was air-lifted to hospital after a crash, is an ambassador for the service.

He and a group of friends organised a chilli night at the Kettering General Hospital Sports and Social Club.

Mr Anderson said: “We’ve set up a fundraising team and we will be supporting the Air Ambulance and raising as much money as we can.

“Alan Gurney is funding an annual event like this every year so we can donate all the money to the Air Ambulance with no over-heads.”

Tickets for a dinner at Exotic Dining in Kettering next week have already sold out.
