A model railway show takes place in Kettering this weekend.

The annual Gauge 0 Guild’s Spring Show takes place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, March 4, at the conference centre in Thurston Drive.

The Gauge 0 Guild, which last year celebrated its diamond jubilee, is an international fellowship of railway modellers whose common interest is in constructing and operating models built to a scale of 7mm to the foot.

The show brings together more than 90 traders and suppliers who provide everything that is required to build and run a model railway in this scale.

In addition, demonstrators will be on hand to show ‘how it’s done’, and layouts will be in operation showing what can be achieved, even where space is restricted.

Various railway societies will be in attendance too, with their fundraising sales stands.

The guild is keen to attract new members, especially young people, into what is a fascinating and rewarding hobby.

Admission is £5 per person, or £10 for a family of two adults and two children.

There is free parking at the venue plus an overspill car park at the nearby Hall Meadow Primary School, with a free shuttle minibus.
