Corby Council will be joining the rest of Europe to observe a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the Paris terror attacks that took place on Friday.

The council is inviting all residents, businesses and visitors of the borough to join the silence at 11am today (Monday) outside the Corby Cube in James Ashworth VC Square or to mark the silence wherever they are.

Deputy Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Jean Addison, said: “News of the horrific attack in Paris has shook the world and our hearts are with the innocent victims and their families at this time.

“We hope that people across Corby will join the minute silence to remember those that have tragically lost their lives and show that are thoughts are with Paris and each and every person whose lives have been affected.”
