Police are appealing for witnesses after two men fled when they crashed a car into a house in Isham.

The incident took place at about 3am on Monday, October 12, after police received reports of a car speeding on the A509 between Wellingborough and Isham.

They followed the Vauxhall Vectra, which then then crashed into the property in South Street causing some damage.

The offenders fled the scene, and police officers and the dog unit spent the next hour and a half searching for them in Isham and Burton Latimer to no avail.

A police spokesman said: “The vehicle has not been reported as stolen and we have not yet been able to make contact with the registered vehicle owner, who is not from Northamptonshire.

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have seen a speeding car in the Harrowden area at about 3am on Monday.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
