A MAN who threatened police officers and warned he’d set fire to a disused warehouse has appeared in court.
John Rendall, 53, of no fixed address, was charged with making threats to kill and threatening to cause criminal damage following an incident in Park Road, Rushden, during the early hours of Saturday.
Residents of near-by homes were evacuated after Rendall threatened to set the building on fire.
He entered no plea to the charges at Wellingborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
He was remanded in custody to appear again before the court on April 23.
