A man was stopped by police after being seen driving at speeds of up to 100mph on the A6.

The motorist was spotted driving over the speed limit on Wednesday night by an officer.

A police spokesman said: “The man was driving on the A6 from Burton Latimer towards Finedon, at around 100mph.

“He was stopped and reported for summons for excess speed.”

A tweet from PC Kettering about the incident said: “Went to reports of a domestic assult and then while travelling to #Wellingborough I stopped a car doing over 100mph. Driver was reported.”
