A 20-year-old man was stabbed after being racially abused in a Corby street.

The victim was walking along Jubilee Avenue when he was approached from behind by a man who made a racially abusive comment to him before stabbing him in the thigh.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the violent assault, which left the victim needing medical attention, and took place at about 3pm on Monday, January 27.

The offender is a slim white man, 5ft 10in, aged between 25 and 30 and wore dark clothing.
