A man was spat at and punched in a Corby nightclub by a stranger who also made homophobic remarks to him.

The man was in the Rubix nightclub in Corporation Street, Corby, when he was approached by the stranger at about 2am on Sunday, December 28.

The stranger spat in the man’s face and made homophobic comments.

After initially walking away, he then returned and punched the man in the throat before making more homophobic comments.

He was white, about 5ft 4in and spoke with a foreign accent.

He wore jeans and a black leather jacket.
