Man seriously assaulted in Kettering road-rage incident

A road-rage incident spilled over in to the car park of a Kettering school.

A man was seriously assaulted in the grounds of Southfield School for Girls after an altercation while driving close by.

The 31-year-old man was driving a black Vauxhall Astra when he was involved in an argument with another motorist driving a silver car near Wicksteed Park in Barton Road.

They pulled into the school car park in Lewis Road where the man was assaulted. His car was also damaged.

Police are now appealing for witnesses the the incident that happened on Tuesday between 9pm and 10pm.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incidents in Barton Road or Lewis Road, or who may have seen a man in need of assistance walking in the area of Springfield Road, Hillside Avenue or London Road, at any time between 9pm and 10pm on Tuesday.
