A man was punched and knocked to the ground in a violent attack in Kettering.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault which took place near to the football ground in Rockingham Road between 6.45pm and 7.15pm on Sunday (June 30).

The victim, a 43-year-old-man, was punched and knocked to the ground by two men.

His attackers are described as white men, in their late twenties and of stocky build.

One of the men had short, blonde spiky hair and wore a grey jumper and jeans. The other had dark hair and wore a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
