Man is victim of serious assault in Kettering

A man was injured after being set upon by a group of up to five people.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was attacked by a group of between two and five people between 1.45am and 2.15am on Sunday, July 27.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the serious assault in Carrington Street, Kettering.

A police spokesman said: “Police have already spoken to a number of witnesses, however, they are urging anyone else who saw the assault or who has any information about it, to contact them.

“Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.”

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the attack, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
