Man injured in unprovoked attack, while sitting in his car

Police are on the lookout for a man who punched a 50-year-old man in the face, while he sat in his car, in an unprovoked attack.

The assault happened while the victim was sat in his car, in Wood Street, Higham Ferrers, between 8pm and 8.30pm, on Saturday, September 21.

The victim was sat in his blue Vauxhall Corsa, when the offender, who was on a BMX bike, came up to the driver side window.

He punched the victim and then rode of with two other men, also on BMX bikes, in the direction of the A45.

The offender is described as a white man, around 20-21 years old, about 5ft 10in and with short light brown hair in a number four cut all over.

He had blue/green eyes, clean shaven, narrow gaunt looking face with a slim build and wearing a dark blue parker type jacket with the hood down.

The other two men were white, looked younger and had dark hair.
