One person was taken to hospital after a crash which closed a road into Kettering for two hours yesterday (Wednesday, November 5).

The man was admitted to Kettering General Hospital after his car crashed into a ditch on the A43 between Kettering and Broughton.

The collision took place at around 6.30pm, with the road shut from the Mawsley roundabout until about 8.30pm.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the force did not believe the man’s injuries were serious.

One driver who passed the scene shortly after the incident described what he had seen.

Guy Harvey, who was driving into Kettering, said: “A car had turned over on the far side of the road. Police were arriving on the scene and pedestrians and other car passengers were checking the wreckage and attempting to get the person out of the car.”
