A man was hit in the face with a glass and suffered a fractured leg after being attacked in a Rushden car park.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault in the Windmill Club car park, Windmill Road, Rushden.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was hit in the face with a glass by one offender and then assaulted by another.

The second attacker is believed to have been the driver of a black car which arrived in the car park shortly before the assault.

The violent attack happened between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday, 20 October.

A police spokesman said: “The victim sustained injuries to his face and a fractured leg and was treated at Kettering General Hospital.”

One of the offenders is a white man, in his thirties, with a muscular build. He wore a dark vest top.

A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
