A Corby man who failed to attend probation appointments has been given another chance by magistrates.
Argos Wincanton worker James William Madden, 20, from Ollis Close, Corby, had a warrant issued for his arrest when he failed to turn up at court to explain why he had breached the terms of his community order.
He was taken into custody last Wednesday and appeared before magistrates the following day.
The court was told that he had been through a difficult period in his life and had gone to Scotland. He was due to attend a probation appointment in January but did not turn up.
He told magistrates he believed the order was complete and hadn’t received appointment letters.
JPs ordered him to apologise to the court and agreed wth probation officers that he should be given a chance to complete the sentence.
