A man has been charged over an incident which saw the victim punched in the face with a knuckleduster in Wellingborough.

Andrew Hinks, 29, of Kingsway, was arrested after a man was attacked by two men in Berrymoor Road in the town at about 5.30pm on Wednesday (October 5).

The victim was punched in the face several times by men wearing knuckledusters, causing bleeding.

Hinks has now been charged with assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been bailed to appear in court.
