A man believes he was shot with a pellet as he walked along a Kettering street.

Police are appealing for information about the assault which took place in Avondale Road, Kettering, some time between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Saturday, October 6.

A police spokesman said: “A 48-year-old man was walking along Avondale Road when he became aware of a pain in his arm as a small cream or white vehicle drove past.

“The man feels he was shot with some sort of pellet and that an occupant of this vehicle was responsible. He was not badly hurt.

“It is believed the vehicle contained three people and that it made its way onto the Stamford Road in the direction of the town centre.”
