Man airlifted to hospital after serious accident

Two drivers were injured in a serious accident near Dingley.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident which took place near Dingley on the A427 today (Friday).

Officers were called at 6.30am to the accident which involved a red Hyundai Atoz being driven by a 55-year-old man from Corby and a blue Vauxhall Vectra being driven by a 39-year-old man from Corby.

Both drivers were taken to Kettering General Hospital, one with minor injuries, the other with serious injuries.

This man was later transferred to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry by air ambulance.

The road was closed for several hours and re-opened at about 11.25am.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who has any information about it.
