Man airlifted to hospital after falling from tree in Rushden

A man has been flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after falling from a tree.

Police were called to Queen Street in Rushden this morning after a man, believed to be a tree surgeon, fell from a tree and injured himself.

The air ambulance was called to the incident, which took place at about 11.25am, and the patient was airlifted to hospital.

A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive said: “We are aware and are making initial inquiries.”
