A motorcross rider was airlifted to hospital for treatment after suffering abdomen and back pain.

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was called to the aid of the injured rider following the accident which happened near Cranford, at about 11.50pm yesterday (Sunday).

A spokesman for the air ambulance said: “Once on scene, air ambulance paramedics assessed the 27-year-old male casualty who was suffering from abdomen and back pain, before flying him to Peterborough City Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
