Man, 21, suffered broken jaw in park robbery

A man was suffered a broken jaw when he was robbed as he walked through a park.

The 21-year-old man was walking between the children’s play area and the football changing rooms in Dallington Park, Northampton, when the incident happened at about 4pm on Thursday, May 31.

The man was walking and talking on his mobile phone when he was approached by three men.

One of the men demanded he hand over his phone, and he refused.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “He was punched in the face causing him to fall to the floor where he was kicked and punched, causing a broken jaw and grazes to his upper body. The men walked off in the direction of Warren Road.

“One of the offenders is described as a black man in is late 20s to early 30s, around 6ft tall, wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and black and white Nike trainers. The second is a white man wearing a white hooded top with black Adidas writing and logo across the front. There is no description of the third offender.”
