A lottery winner from Rushden almost lost out on her £10,000 prize after moving house.

People’s Postcode Lottery winner Susan Jayes moved house recently and had only just updated her new postcode.

She was delighted to discover that her previous postcode, NN10 0ND, was a winner in a recent Saturday Street Prize draw.

Susan said: “We had a really busy couple of weeks moving.

“I had only just updated People’s Postcode Lottery with my new postcode so this was my last full month playing with my old one – thank goodness it wasn’t the month before or I would have missed out.”

In another stroke of good fortune, Susan, 49, was working from home when she was surprised by the People’s Postcode Lottery team.

She said: “I was gobsmacked when Scott Quinnell and the team showed up at my door.”

Susan, who has only been playing People’s Postcode Lottery since February, decided to play to support charities and good causes including the Shopmobility scheme run by Daventry Area Community.

She added: “I hope my new postcode will be just as lucky.”

The People’s Postcode Lottery has raised £31.3m for charities and good causes across Great Britain.
