A Kettering woman is tackling the London Marathon in April to raise money for the mental health charity MIND in memory of a friend.

And in a bid to raise further funds, Jo McDonald, 42, has arranged an evening of comedy at Kettering’s Corn Market Hall on Saturday, February 22.

The comedy night will be compered by Northampton comic Pete Teckman.

Dominic Woodward, who has performed more than 2,000 gigs in a 12-year stand-up career is performing, as is Funny’s Funny 2011 finalist Helen Keeler.

Tickets, priced £16, include a fish and chip supper and are available from www.wegottickets.com/event/257767.

Jo estimates she will be running 500 miles in training for the marathon.
