A new branch of charity Marie Curie Cancer Care has been formally launched in Wellingborough.

Mayor Ken Harrington helped members of the charity – which has been running in the town since February – with their launch on Saturday, April 20. It raised £4,000 in its daffodil appeal, which ran during March.

“It (the launch) was really, really good,” said Chairman of the Wellingborough and district Marie Curie branch, Sarah McAlindon. “We are also looking for volunteers to join us.”
