One of Wellingborough’s oldest residents has celebrated her 104th birthday.
Lily Perry marked her special day by enjoying a party at home at Lancum House in Wellingborough last weekend.
Almost 30 family members and friends attended the event, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Wellingborough, Cllrs Graham and Lora Lawman, who brought Lily a silver photograph frame.
During the party she was presented with a birthday cake made by a cook for Shaw Healthcare which included a picture of Lily as a young 21-year-old.
Pat Chandler, Lily’s daughter, said: “I think Mum enjoyed the day, her dementia sometimes makes it hard to know exactly how she is feeling. We wanted to make it a special day for her.”
