Bottles designed to contain people’s medical details in case of an emergency in their home are being distributed in their hundreds across the county.

So far, Northamptonshire Lions Club has handed out about 30,000 of the Lions Life Line containers to vulnerable people.

But the Lions Club branches still have plenty more to give away.

Roy Owen, of Rothwell Lions Club, said: “It’s a brilliant idea which could be a real lifesaver for anyone who collapses in their own home.”

The county’s Lions Club branches pooled together their resources seven years ago to launch the scheme.

The green and white bottle is kept in the fridge for emergency services to find.

Anyone wanting a bottle can call Mr Owen on 01536 710007.
