Top comedian Lee Evans will be performing a warm-up show in Wellingborough before he starts his arena tour of the UK.
The Castle theatre has announced that the funnyman will be appearing at the theatre at 8pm on Saturday, May 17, as part of his warm-up tour of the country for his new Monsters show, which will see him appearing in arenas throughout the UK, including six nights at the London O2.
Evans is bringing his Work In Progress preview show to the theatre.
He will be trying out new material ahead of the arena shows later in the year.
The talented comedian is one of the country’s most successful stand-up acts.
The DVD of his Big tour in 2008 was the biggest selling Christmas DVD in Britain that year, selling more than a million copies.
In November 2005 he performed in front of 10,108 people at the Manchester Arena, a world record crowd for a solo comedy act.
As well as being a stand-up comedian, Evans has appeared in many films over the past 20 years.
Ticket for the show, which cost £25, went on sale to Friends of The Castle today.
They go on sale to members of the public from 10am tomorrow (Friday, March 7).
