The winner of Wellingborough’s Got Talent 2014 has impressed the judges at another competition.
Lauren Jones has made it through to the regional finals of the TeenStar auditions and will now perform in a live showcase.
TeenStar is a national singing competition searching for the UK’s best teens and pre-teens singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material.
The competition is organised by Future Music, the company behind the discovery of artists such as Jacob Banks, Birdy and Lucy Spraggan.
Lauren beat thousands of people to make it through to the regional final and will perform in front of hundreds of audience members and a professional judging panel to try and win a place at the national final. Previous judges have included Radio One DJ Annie Nightingale and Mark Hill of Artful Dodger.
Chris Grayston, of TeenStar, said: “We are looking to find an act that has something unique to offer, another Birdy or Luke Friend that can go all the way, with both the ability to deliver a strong live performance but also potential to become a professional recording artist.
“There is so much talent out there I’m sure we can find that star again.”
