A former soldier who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder has published a book of poetry to support others with combat stress.
Larry Lamb, 60, of Wellingborough, has contributed about one third of the 129 poems in From The Heart. The rest of the poems were also written by people suffering with the disorder.
He paid to have it published and the proceeds from the title will be donated to the charities Combat Stress and Help for Heroes.
Mr Lamb, who served for 10 years in the Army, said he found writing the poems helpful for his condition. He said: “I took part in and witnessed many things that people should not have to. It wasn’t long after I left that these things came back to haunt me in the form of post-traumatic stress disorder.”
