Images of the inside of a cannabis factory discovered in a residential street have been released by police.

Officers were called to a house in Kiln Way, Wellingborough, just after 9am on Wednesday, September 3, after the landlord of the property discovered more than 100 cannabis plants growing inside during a routine visit.

Police are now appealing for help in finding out who was responsible for the drugs operation.

Sergeant Simon Moreton, who is leading the investigation into the discovery, said: “This was an extensive set-up with more than 100 plants that were pretty much ready to go.

“We’ve subsequently done house-to-house enquiries and it seems that the people who lived there kept themselves to themselves and didn’t go out much.

“So we would ask anyone who knows anything about this operation or saw anything suspicious in the Kiln Way area to contact us with any information they have.”

Anyone with any information about the cannabis factory can call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
