Chelsea and England footballer Frank Lampard has shown his support for Niamh’s Next Step after being pictured wearing one of the Wellingborough-based charity’s wristbands.
A picture of the father-of-two proudly displaying his Niamh’s Next Step was posted on Twitter this morning (Monday).
❤The post on the Niamh’s Next Step❤ Twitter account read: “Fantastic to see @ChelseaFC legend Frank Lampard proudly wearing his Niamh’s Next Step wristband. Thanks Frank.”
The charity has already received support from a number of celebrities and sports stars, including Saints rugby players Lee Dickson and Ben Foden, who are both patrons of the charity.
Other celebrities who have already been pictured wearing a Niamh’s Next Step wristband include; Shane Filan, Gillian Filan, Alexandra Burke, Jack Whithall, Jimmy Carr, Freddie Flintoff, Barry McGuigan, Carl Frampton, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay, Shay Given, Jamie Moore, Peter McDonagh, ‘Tubes’ from Soccer AM, Darren Gough and Carl Fogarty.
The charity launched the wristbands last year in a bid to raise funds for Niamh Curry to have treatment for neuroblastoma in America.
The five-year-old sadly lost her battle with the rare cancer in May last year. Her parents, Chris and Sam Curry, continue to run the charity in a bid to raise awareness of the childhood cancer and fight the disease in Niamh’s memory.
