Thieves threatened a man with a knife before demanding he hand over his mobile phone.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 20-year-old man was robbed in Barton Road, Kettering, on Monday (August 13).

The man was walking along Barton Road, between 11.30pm and 11.50pm, when he was approached by two young men, one of who threatened the victim with a knife while demanding he hand over his mobile phone.

The victim ran off and the offenders made off in the direction of Pytchley Road.

The first offender was white, between 16 and 18-years-old, of slim build, with prominant cheek bones, short blonde hair and wore a grey hooded top and black trousers.

The second offender was shorter than the first, white and wore a grey hooded top.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information about it.
