Catherine has now scooped a Rosemary Conley Food & Fitness Magazine Semi Finalist Slimmer of the Year 2014 Award, which she was recently presented with by Rosemary Conley at a ceremony held at Quorn House in Leicestershire.

Rosemary Conley said: “Catherine has achieved a superb weight loss and I am thrilled to present her with a Semi-Finalist Slimmer of the Year 2014 Award. Catherine now looks amazing and she has completely changed her lifestyle and fitness levels too.”

Catherine suffered serious health problems and in September 2011 she was given the all clear after going through the terrifying ordeal of cervical cancer. It was during treatment that her weight piled on, as she was placed on lots of drugs and went through early menopause.

Once the all clear was confirmed she knew she had to shift the weight, not just for herself but for her young daughter as well.

Catherine tried other methods to lose the pounds but nothing seemed to work. It was in January 2013 when her friend suggested she went to her local Rosemary Conley class that things finally clicked into place.

“I was really nervous to begin with, but everyone was really welcoming and I couldn’t wait to go back to class,” she said. “My instructor Miranda is inspirational; she has been a great support throughout my weight loss.”

Catherine soon found classes a highlight of her week, and the healthy living became a way of life for her. It didn’t take long for Catherine to gain confidence and she now has a buzzing and enjoyable social life. She now joins in with lots of activities with her daughter including swimming and cycling.

“One of the best changes is people’s reactions; those who haven’t seen me for a while just don’t recognise me!”
