Kettering pub landlord wakes to find burglars stealing cash

A landlord woke to find two burglars stealing cash from his pub.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary at The Piper public house on Windmill Avenue, Kettering.

The burglary happened between 4am and 4.15am on Friday, December 20.

The landlord was awoken by offenders who had forced entry into the pub, causing the alarm to activate. He disturbed them and one of them struck him on the leg as he pushed past.

A small amount of cash was taken.

The two offenders are both described as white. One was in his twenties, about 5ft 9in and of medium build with short dark hair. He was wearing a plain, light-green top. The other was in his fifties with olive coloured skin and of slim build with a prominent nose.
