Kettering man charged with online grooming of boys

Detectives have today charged a man with a number of offences relating to the online grooming of teenage boys.

Stuart Baker, 40, formerly of Kettering, faces 10 charges of inciting children to engage in sexual activity and a further five allegations relating to the making and distribution of indecent images of children.

The grooming offences are alleged to have taken place between January 2015 and August last year, while the charges relating to the making and distribution of images of child sexual abuse are alleged to have happened between July 2013 and August last year, when he was arrested by Northamptonshire Police.

Baker will appear before Wellingborough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 26.

His bail conditions include not to have any unsupervised contact with anybody under 18, not to use any devices capable of connecting with the internet, to continue to reside at his current address and to inform officers of a change of address.

The charges follow a lengthy investigation by the force’s Paedophile Online investigation team.
